Group show at the Chinatown Soup gallery. This was an exhibition that addresses intergenerational disruption as a catalyst for community resilience in response to current events. Recalling the 100 nights that shaped the Punk Movement at London’s Roxy Club in the 1970s and rooted in the inspirational work of The Clash (“The Only Band That Matters”), this show links seminal artists from the 1980s Lower East Side to a new generation of artists echoing their work today.

I once saw a fish swimming still in a moderate-sized fish tank in the Central Park Zoo. I thought ‘there is a fish’ and moved on. However, an image of the fish swimming moderately in a moderate-sized fish tank popped up in my head from time to time. The idea of making this book struck my head when I was passing the Manhattan bridge on a subway. ‘It would be really nice if that fish could swim across the land like I am flying across the water. I would love to walk with that fish like people walk their dog.’ This book started from this silly idea and added a little bit of reality and imagination. This book also addresses how much space can you spare with your pet and how far you can go to make your pet’s life more dynamic and comfortable.

This illustration is an unpublished children’s book ‘What is it?’ I made little animals and patterns traditionally using gouache and assembled the final image digitally.

It is an illustrated side of a 144cm long panoramic landscape pen and ink drawing of an Album ‘Strange Weather' by Korean Indi rock band THORNAPPLE. It was designed for inside of the album jacket with cover pages and lyrics on the back. It is designed to be an accordion book. 144cm drawing divides into 12 panels. Each Square is dedicated for cover, ten songs, and end cover. Each panel reflects the lyrics, story, and atmosphere of the song on its back. Four band members are melted throughout the landscape.
